The problem

Going live usually means installing and configuring OBS. For community organisers who just want to stream a session, that setup is the barrier.

Capture and encoding stay on your machine. There is no phos server in between.

Key decisions

No server in the middle
Encoding happens on the user's device and streams go straight to YouTube. There is nothing to operate, nothing to pay for per stream, and no third party holding anyone's video.

Meet people in the browser
A browser extension removes the install-and-configure step that stops first-time streamers.

Open by default
Released under Apache-2.0, so other communities can use, audit and extend it.
